Born into a medical family, Dr. Jin Lei studied at Peking Union Medical College (PUMC) under the mentorship of Prof. Zhu Xiaodong (Academician), whose team at Fuwai Hospital propelled bovine pericardial valve technology to the global forefront. Dr Jin Lei founded Balance Medical in 2001, with first market approval of the bovine pericardial heart valve in 2003. With nearly 25 years of R&D accumulation, the company has secured 24 Class III medical device registrations. Notably, 12 products-including artificial biological heart valves and pulmonary valved conduits-First Approved Domestic Products in the Related Treatment Fields in China.
Wu Kangjian | General Manager, Bioregenix
Dr. Wu Kangjian holds medical degrees from Shanxi Medical University and PUMC. His career spans research positions at PUMC, the University of Minnesota, and the Mayo Clinic (1993-2003), followed by senior roles at Wyeth/Pfizer Vaccines (2003-2021). With over 30 years of experience in basic and translational medicine-covering molecular pathology, collagen metabolism, and oncology-he currently leads Bioregenix. Dr Wu focuses on the R&D of natural collagen and the optimization of tissue processing technologies for the industrialization of tissue therapy.
